What is a three-point hitch?

The categories Cat. 1, Cat. 2 and Cat. 3 refer to the dimensions of the hitch points and the load capacity:

• Cat. 1: Used on smaller machines and lighter implements. Pin size approx. 22 mm.
• Cat. 2: Standard on medium-sized machines. Pin size approx. 28 mm.
• Cat. 3: For larger machines and heavy implements. Pin size approx. 37 mm.

Does a three-point hitch require maintenance?

Yes, regular maintenance extends the lifespan and ensures safe operation:

• Lubrication: Grease lift arms, top link, lift rods and hook ends regularly.
• Hydraulic system: Check cylinders and hoses for leaks and replace damaged parts.
• Pins and fasteners: Ensure all pins and locks are secure and not worn.
