- Description: The dimensions and areas of application of the ball hitch with flange comply with ISO 24347, VO (EU) 2015/208 and UN ECE R147, class a80. The device is normally coupled and locked. The flange hitch can be swivelled 360°, the torque required for this is 100 - 150 Nm. The areas of application include use on agricultural or forestry vehicles, self-propelled work machines and trailers. Advantages: flange ball with rotation lock, hold-down device can be adjusted without tools, forged connecting flange with rollover protection function. The KFD800 series balls from WALTERSCHEID have a unique rollover protection function. The special design allows the ball carrier to rotate when coupled with a spherical cap, preventing the tractor and trailer from being separated, but only when a preset torque is exceeded. During normal trailer operation, the model can be regarded as virtually rigid. Users often use conventional retractable balls designed by the manufacturers for a hitch below the PTO shaft, even with a top hitch. In the event of overturning, the hold-down device bends or breaks and the tractor and implement are separated.
