- Assembly notes: <b>NOTE:</b> When installing the Piton set, the relevant regulations (e.g. UVV vehicles) and the vehicle manufacturer's installation guidelines must be observed. The Piton set must be installed on the vehicle in accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2015/208, Annex 34. <b>NOTE:</b> Reference is made to the obligations of § 13 FZV (in registration area D) concerning the data in the registration certificate relating to the permissible trailer load and the permissible nose weight. <b>MOUNTING THE PITON:</b> The Piton set is welded directly to the support device. The weld seam connection must be observed in accordance with the applicable regulations and checked when attaching the connecting device. The manufacturer of the components to which the Piton set is welded is solely responsible for installation. When establishing the weld seam connection, it is important to note that the support device may need to be preheated to a temperature of 250°C before welding begins. The welding specialist carrying out the work should decide whether this is necessary. Longitudinal and fillet welds must be welded in a single step to avoid notch effects. The requirements of quality class B according to DIN EN 25817 apply to the weld seam quality. <b>IMPORTANT:</b> The Piton set must be mounted by a specialist workshop if the vehicle owner does not have access to the appropriate specialists and the necessary technical equipment.
