Description: Towing couplings are only used for towing inoperable motor vehicles and in exceptional cases for manoeuvring purposes. The couplings largely comply with DIN 74056 and are not permitted for trailer operation. In this version, it has a cylindrical hitch bolt D = 35 mm. As a rule, the coupling is rigidly attached to the centre of the front vehicle. Attachment to the rear of the vehicle is also possible, but not for use when towing a trailer. Towing couplings are not subject to type approval, but all Walterscheid types have undergone horizontal static testing by the RWTÜV in accordance with Directive 77/389/EC.
