- Description: Choose LOCTITE® 577 if you need a universal thread sealant that is able to withstand high temperatures and contamination, and works effectively on both inactive and active metals. The product was developed for securing and sealing pipes, connectors and other threaded connections made of metal, and provides an immediate sealing effect against low pressures. Prevents creep, shrinkage and fraying. Works perfectly on stainless steel even without surface activation and can bridge gaps up to 0.25 mm (0.01"). Minor surface contamination from cutting, lubricating, anti-corrosion and protective oils or cleaners containing surfactants and corrosion inhibitors does not impair curing. Meets the requirements of KIWA GASTEC QA AR 214 for hydrogen gas mixtures containing up to 100% hydrogen gas.
