There are more than 90 parts for the Renault Ares 610 from the Ares series on this page. Groups such as electrics, trailer couplings and lighting keep it clear.
Plenty of the jobs on an Ares 610 have nothing to do with the engine. A door that no longer latches, a cracked rear light lens, a mirror bracket snapped off on a gatepost. The more than 90 parts for this Renault cover those everyday repairs as well as the water pump, the alternator and the PTO, with parts from GRANIT, Cobo, Walterscheid, ROCKINGER and MAHLE.
For road work there are indicator and position lights, rear lights and replacement glass. If only the lens is broken while the housing and wiring are sound, a replacement glass is often all you need. Make sure the seal sits evenly when you fit it, otherwise water collects inside and the bulb holder corrodes. Telescopic mirror brackets for both sides bring the view behind you back where it belongs.
Door locks and gas struts keep the cab usable. A gas strut lasts longer when it is mounted rod downwards, because the seal then stays in oil. Where a window or door has two struts, change both together so the load stays balanced.
Under the bonnet you will find alternators, water pumps supplied with a gasket, and a crankshaft seal. Coolant dripping from the small hole below the pump shaft means the shaft seal has failed and the pump has to come off. Clean the mating face on the block thoroughly so the new gasket seats flat. If the starter sometimes refuses to turn with a fully charged battery, check the cut-out switch that only allows starting in a safe position. A dirty contact there produces exactly that fault. Before replacing the alternator, check the belt and the earth lead, as a slipping belt or a corroded earth also leaves the battery short of charge.
At the rear there are flange hitches, automatic drawbars, a top drawbar and a PTO shaft end piece, and for the steering ball joints for the track rod. Compare the number of splines and the speed version of the PTO end piece with the one currently fitted before you remove it.
Check the type plate to confirm you are working on an Ares 610, and hold the number on the old part against the reference number of the product. Door locks and mirror brackets often name a run of models in their description, which is a useful extra check.
Other tractors from the Ares range have pages of their own, such as the Renault Ares 550, the Renault Ares 620, the Renault Ares 540 and the Renault Ares 640, each showing the parts that suit that model. Every remaining Renault model can be reached via Renault parts.
