If you run a Renault Ares 620, choose from more than 90 parts that fit. Trailer couplings, electrics and lighting for the Ares series are grouped on one page.
On a Renault Ares 620 with plenty of hours behind it, the annoyances tend to be small. A door that will not latch, a mirror that shakes over every bump, a rear light with a cracked lens. This page gathers more than 90 replacement parts for the Ares 620, from GRANIT, Cobo, Walterscheid, ROCKINGER and Scharmüller.
For the cab there are door locks for the left and right side, telescopic mirror brackets and gas struts. Lighting covers indicator and position lights, rear lights and replacement glass, so a broken lens does not mean a whole new lamp.
Around the engine you will find water pumps, some supplied with a gasket, crankshaft seals and thrust bearings. There are also cut-out switches for the starter motor, the safety switch that stops the engine starting while a gear is engaged. If that switch fails, replace it straight away and never bridge it.
A water pump usually warns you before it fails. Look at the weep hole at the bottom of the housing. A trace of coolant or a crust around it means the shaft seal is leaking. Check the pulley for play as well. Fit the new pump with a new gasket on a clean face and refill the cooling system slowly so trapped air can escape.
Before ordering a PTO end piece, count the splines on the old shaft, measure its diameter and check which speed your implements are meant to run at. Running an implement at the wrong PTO speed damages the whole driveline. Smear a little grease on the splines before sliding the shaft on and make sure the locking collar clicks into its groove.
The rating plate tells you it is an Ares 620. After that, let the old part guide you. Door locks and mirror brackets often show which side they belong to, and a water pump usually has a reference number cast into the housing. Compare it with the description on this page before ordering.
These Ares models each have a page showing only their own parts:
The Ares 610 is part of the same line. For other Renault tractors, see Renault parts.
