Looking for parts for your Fendt Favorit 614 (Typ 284) tractor? In this category, you'll find everything you need for the maintenance and repair of your vehicle.
The Fendt Favorit 614 LS is the rear-wheel drive version from the Favorit 600 series and carries the internal type designation FWA 284. Production ran from 1979 to 1984, with a total of 1,180 units built under chassis number T 284.211. Early examples with chassis number T 284.210 date back to the period 1977 to 1984 and are the direct successor to the Favorit 614 SL. The four-wheel drive version carries the designation LSA and falls under type T 384. One point that regularly causes confusion with the 614 LS: a portion of the early-built LS examples were in fact fitted with four-wheel drive, even though the letter A is absent from the designation. The A in LSA was only consistently applied to the bonnet from around 1984 onwards.
The Favorit 614 LS is fitted with an MWM TD 226-6.2, a water-cooled six-cylinder four-stroke inline turbodiesel engine with direct injection. The engine features overhead valves, a gear-driven camshaft, a seven-bearing crankshaft, pressure circulation lubrication, an oil cooler, a dry air filter with pre-cleaner, a viscous fan, piston crown cooling, an inline injection pump with governor, a multi-hole injector and thermostatically controlled dual-circuit cooling.
Power increased over the course of the production period. In the initial version, output is 135 hp at 2,400 rpm, with a maximum torque of 466 Nm at 1,700 rpm. In the later version, following the engine revision, power was raised to 145 hp at 2,400 rpm, with a maximum torque of 520 Nm at 1,500 rpm. Displacement is 6,234 cc.
The hydraulic pump delivers 45 litres per minute at 175 bar. The Fendt control lift system features a category III three-point hitch with quick coupler. The lift system is equipped with mechanical lift control, a single-acting lift cylinder with a piston diameter of 120 mm and a piston stroke of 126 mm, along with draft, position and mixed control. Maximum lift capacity is 5,800 kg. Permissible axle loads are 3,000 kg on the front axle and 5,000 kg on the rear axle.
The 614 LS has a ZF fine-step gearbox type T 3550. Top speed is 40 km/h in the standard version, with a 30 km/h version also available. The gearbox works in conjunction with a torque converter, a hydraulic fluid coupling by Voith that absorbs load peaks in the drive line and protects the drive clutch from wear.
The PTO is switchable between 540 and 1,000 rpm. An optional power-shift front PTO at 1,000 rpm is available.
The braking system consists of hydraulically operated internal shoe brakes, type 270 x 80 with an effective braking area of 754 cm², acting on the rear wheels and usable as individual wheel brakes. On four-wheel drive versions, a front wheel disc brake additionally acts on the drive; when the individual wheel brake is applied, the front wheel brake disengages automatically. The parking brake is mechanically operated as an internal shoe brake. An optional single or dual-circuit compressed air braking system is available. Steering is hydrostatically assisted.
Standard tyre sizes are 16.9-26 at the front and 20.8R38 at the rear.
A question that regularly comes up when sourcing parts or purchasing is the difference between Typ 284 and Typ 384. The Typ 284 is the LS series, built from 1977 to 1984, with rear-wheel drive as standard and 135 or 145 hp. The Typ 384 is the successor LSA series from 1983 to 1993, with four-wheel drive as standard and power ranging from 155 to 165 hp. Both series use the same MWM TD 226-6.2 engine and the same ZF T 3550 gearbox, but the hydraulics, lift capacity and axle loads differ considerably. Parts are partially interchangeable but not always directly so, which is worth bearing in mind during repairs.
