Ford 5600 parts in one overview: more than 250 items, including classic tractor parts, electrics and lighting to keep your tractor running.
Most Ford 5600 tractors still at work have plenty of hours behind them, and the jobs that come up are the familiar ones: clutch, steering, water pump and starter. This page carries more than 250 new Ford 5600 tractor parts, from makers such as GRANIT, LUK, Eaton, MAHLE and GRAMMER.
You will find clutch plates and single clutch pressure plates for a flat flywheel. If the tractor is already split, renew the plate and pressure plate together. While it is apart, inspect the flywheel: blue patches or fine heat cracks on the friction face mean it needs skimming, otherwise a new plate will soon judder or slip as well. Check the rear crankshaft seal too, because oil on the new lining will undo the job within weeks.
Slack in the steering on an older Ford usually comes down to the ball joints. Have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth with the engine running while you hold each joint in turn. Wherever you feel movement before the wheel responds is the joint to replace, which saves you renewing the whole linkage on a guess.
If coolant weeps from the small hole under the water pump shaft, the shaft seal has gone and a new gasket on its own will not cure it. Replace the complete pump and clean both mating faces properly before the new gasket goes on. While you are there, check the cooling fan for cracks at the root of each blade, because a cracked blade can let go at high revs and end up in the radiator. Refill the coolant slowly afterwards and let the engine warm up with the cap off so trapped air can escape.
A tractor of this age has often had something changed along the way. Read the type plate first, then compare the old part with what you are ordering. Gaskets, filters and bearings often carry a reference number that you can check against the number shown with the product. For a clutch, look at the hub of the plate and the type of flywheel before you choose.
If there is a bigger Ford next to the 5600, it has its own page with the parts that fit it: the Ford 6700, the Ford 7600 and the Ford 7700. Do not assume a part from one Ford fits another, check each model separately. Everything for the brand is together under Ford parts.
