Keep your Ford 6700 from the 100 series working with parts that fit. Find more than 140 here, including lighting, electrics and brake and transmission parts.
Keeping a Ford 6700 working comes down to having the right parts to hand when the clutch, the water pump or a light gives up. This page lists more than 140 Ford 6700 parts, from GRANIT and from manufacturers such as LUK, Eaton, GRAMMER and MAHLE.
For the clutch there are clutch plates for a single clutch with a flat flywheel, complete single clutch units and internal plates. Gear wheels for the linkage are available too, as are seals for the feed pump on the fuel side.
If diesel weeps around the feed pump, a new seal is usually all it takes. Bleed the fuel system properly afterwards, otherwise the engine will be reluctant to start or will stall after a few minutes.
When you renew the clutch, check the flywheel and the pilot bearing in its centre. Heat spots or scoring on the flywheel will make a new clutch plate slip or judder. Watch for the marking that shows which side faces the flywheel, and centre the plate with an alignment tool before you tighten the clutch cover.
Engine oil filters belong to every service on the 6700. Wipe a little oil on the rubber ring of a new filter and tighten it by hand, as a filter wrench tends to overdo it. For the cooling system there is a water pump with pulley and gasket, plus the water pump gasket on its own. A stop cable for shutting the engine down and a starter motor that fits this tractor complete the engine side.
When fitting a water pump, scrape the gasket face on the block completely clean. A sliver of old gasket is enough for a leak that only shows after a few warm days. Tighten the bolts in a cross pattern and evenly, so the new gasket seats all the way round.
Ball joints cover the steering, and a GRAMMER Compacto seat takes care of the driver. Rear lights and indicator position lights handle the lighting, and a rotary switch fits the dash. To find play in a ball joint, have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you rest a hand on the joint.
The serial number on the type plate is the first reference. If the plate is missing or worn, the reference number cast or stamped into the old part helps, so compare it with the product details. For a clutch, also measure the old plate and count the splines in the hub.
