Brake and transmission parts for the Landini 5830 are listed here alongside lighting and electrics, more than 70 items in all for this 30 series tractor.
Plenty of Landini 5830 tractors have been working for years, and keeping one going comes down to replacing wear parts before they let you down. This page lists more than 70 parts for the 5830, supplied by GRANIT, LUK, Cobo, Perkins and GRAMMER.
The clutch side covers complete clutch kits, a pressure plate for a double clutch, thrust bearings and a pilot bearing. When the tractor is split for a new clutch, replace the pilot bearing in the flywheel at the same time. It costs little, and a seized pilot bearing can still damage the new clutch and the gearbox input shaft. The same logic applies to the thrust bearing, which you will not see again until the next split.
For the engine there is a fuel feed pump, a regulator spring, a vibration damper and a crankshaft seal. Gaskets, spacers, seals and sealing rings are also listed, including rings for the lift cylinder of the linkage.
The cooling parts include a radiator, a water pump and radiator hoses. A hose that feels hard and brittle, or has swollen at the clip, should be changed even if it is not leaking yet. Before fitting a new radiator, flush the system thoroughly so that old sediment does not block the new core straight away.
After changing the feed pump or a fuel filter there will be air in the system. Work the hand primer on the feed pump until fuel comes out of the filter bleed screw without bubbles, then close the screw before starting. When fitting a new crankshaft seal, the lip always faces the oil. Check the running surface on the crankshaft as well: if a groove has worn in, set the new seal a fraction deeper or shallower so the lip runs on clean metal. A tired regulator spring shows up as an uneven idle or an engine that is slow to pick up revs, and a vibration damper with cracked rubber should be replaced before it loads the crankshaft.
Check that the serial plate actually says Landini 5830. On older tractors the plate is often dirty or painted over, so give it a wipe. If the part you are removing has a number on it, compare it with the reference number listed with the product. For clutch components and sealing rings, that is the surest check.
From the same series, the Landini 6830 has its own page with the parts for that model, useful if both run on the same farm. The full Landini line up, model by model, sits under Landini parts.
