Own a Landini 6550? Here you will find more than 90 parts that fit, including brake and transmission parts, lighting and electrics for this tractor.
The Landini 6550 is the kind of tractor you can keep running yourself with a decent set of tools, provided the parts are easy to get. This page lists more than 90 new replacement parts for the 6550, from brands such as GRANIT, GRAMMER, LUK, Cobo and KS.
On the engine side you will find feed pumps, oil pressure switches, radiator hoses, a radiator and silencers. After fitting a new feed pump the fuel system has to be bled. If the pump has a hand primer, use it to push fuel through to the filter and open the bleed screw until no more air bubbles come out. Then do the same at the injection pump if the engine still refuses to start.
A brake pedal that creeps further down each time usually points to a leaking brake cylinder. Repair kits for the cylinder are available here. Clean the bore thoroughly before fitting new seals. If it shows pitting or rust marks, a kit will not last and a new cylinder is the better choice. Top up with the same brake fluid or oil already in the system and bleed both sides.
For the hydraulic lift there are sealing rings for the lift cylinder, along with spacers and a regulator spring.
With a double clutch, take time to adjust the PTO clutch after fitting. Too little clearance and the PTO keeps turning when you press the pedal, too much and the drive clutch starts to slip.
An oil pressure warning light that stays on while the engine sounds perfectly healthy is a familiar fault. If in doubt, check the pressure with a separate gauge before replacing the oil pressure switch, so you know whether the switch or the engine is to blame.
Without a suspended cab, the seat does all the work. There are mechanically sprung seats from the GRAMMER Compacto range and air suspended tractor seats.
The 6550 belongs to the Landini 50 series. Write down the serial number from the data plate before you order. On an older machine something different may have been fitted over the years. That makes the reference number on the old part the deciding factor. On clutch plates and thrust bearings it is often stamped into the metal.
Other tractors from the 50 series each have their own page:
