We also cover the Lindner Geotrac 64. This page holds more than 40 parts, including trailer couplings and electrics chosen to fit this tractor model.
Ball, clevis, piton or hook: the rear of a Lindner Geotrac 64 can take several hitch systems, and a good part of this page is about exactly that. In all there are more than 40 replacement parts for this tractor, from Scharmüller, Walterscheid, GRAMMER, ROCKINGER and MAHLE.
You will find drawbars with ball, ball hitches, automatic hitches with a clevis, a top drawbar, Piton Fix, a separate ball and a trailer coupling. Adapter plates, some of them height adjustable, set the coupling at the height your trailer needs.
Before switching systems, measure the rail width and the locking pin diameter on the tractor. With an adapter plate the hole pattern matters too, so take the centre to centre distance of the bolt holes and compare it with the plate's description. A ball hitch wants a lightly greased ball, otherwise ball and socket wear faster and the trailer starts to creak in corners.
An alternator that does not charge is not always faulty itself. Check belt tension, the earth strap between engine and frame and the battery terminals first. Replace it only once those are in order.
With a gear reduction starter, check the shape of the housing, the number of teeth and the direction of rotation against the old one before ordering. If the engine turns over slowly, test the battery and the heavy starter cable first, since a poor connection gives the same symptoms as a worn starter.
For anyone who spends long hours on the tractor, a good seat makes all the difference. An air suspended seat needs power, and a broken cable or loose plug is often why the suspension stops working. With a new seat, check that the mounting holes line up with the console in the cab.
When replacing the alternator, compare the mounting flange, pulley and connections with the old unit so the belt lines up and the plugs fit.
The type plate on the Geotrac 64 gives model and serial number. For the starter and alternator, the reference number on the old unit's housing is the fastest check. For hitch parts, you work with the rail and pin measurements you take yourself.
There are no sister models from the same series with their own page here. Other Lindner tractors are reached through Lindner parts.
