A cracked lamp lens, a dead rear light or a mirror that swings away at every bump: on a Same Explorer 70 that has spent years in the yard and on the road, it is often the small things that need attention first. This page holds more than 110 Same Explorer 70 parts from Cobo, GRANIT, GRAMMER, LUK and ROCKINGER.
Lighting is covered with headlights for dipped and main beam, indicator and position lights, rear lights, number plate lights and separate lamp glasses for left and right. Work lamps, including round ones with their own switch, make jobs after dark a lot easier. There are also mirrors that clamp onto a mirror rod.
A tip for lights that keep failing: check the earth connection. On an older tractor the contact point between the lamp housing and the frame tends to corrode, so the lamp glows dimly or flickers. Sand the contact face back to bare metal, tighten the bolt again and give it a shot of contact spray. Only then will a new lamp glass really make a difference.
After fitting a new headlight, check its aim. Park on level ground in front of a wall and make sure the beam is not set too high, so oncoming traffic is not dazzled.
For the driver there are Compacto seats and complete tractor seats. Struts hold the window or hatch open. A worn seat is something your back tells you about at the end of the day, and swapping it is usually a matter of a few bolts.
Under the bonnet you will find cylinder head gaskets, individual seals and alternators. On the clutch side there are thrust bearings. A thrust bearing that starts to sing when you press the pedal is giving you advance warning, so do not leave it too long.
When you replace a cylinder head gasket, make sure the head and block faces are clean and flat, and tighten the head bolts in the correct sequence and in stages. Many manufacturers call for new bolts. Drawbars for hooking up trailers complete the list at the rear.
Check the data plate on your tractor and compare the reference number on the old part with the details on the product. That way you can be sure you have the part for the Explorer 70.
