Keeping a diesel or LPG Still R70 in good shape? More than 40 parts that fit this truck are listed on this page, including lighting and electrics.
Whether a Still R70 runs on diesel or LPG, looking after it comes down to clean air, clean fuel and clean oil. That is why the filters come first on this page. Altogether there are more than 40 parts for the R70 here, supplied by GRANIT, HELLA, FEBI, Philips and Blue Print.
For the R70 there are air filters, fuel filters and a hydraulic and transmission oil filter, along with a valve cover gasket for when the engine starts to weep oil around the rocker cover.
A word on the air filter. Do not blow a dirty element out with compressed air from the outside. The paper tears easily where you cannot see it, and then dust goes straight into the intake. Fit a new element, wipe the inside of the housing with a damp cloth and check the hose to the engine for cracks and loose clamps.
For the valve cover gasket, clean and degrease both faces, lay the gasket dry in its groove and tighten the bolts evenly in a crosswise pattern. Overtightening squeezes the gasket out of place and the leak returns.
When changing the hydraulic and transmission oil filter, clean around the housing before opening it so no dirt drops in, and check the seal on the cover or filter head. Afterwards top up the oil and run the mast through a few movements without a load to purge air. The LED rear lights with a DEUTSCH plug should be connected with the plug intact. Cutting it off to splice bare wires removes the seal that keeps out moisture and road salt, and a plug that clicks home is properly locked.
Lighting parts for the R70 include LED rear lights with a DEUTSCH plug, an indicator and position light, halogen bulbs, a spherical bulb, a work lamp and a beacon. You will also find mirrors, metal bracket wiper blades and a rectangular reflector.
In the cab there is a PVC forklift seat made for Still and a gas strut for a door, front or rear window.
The data plate tells you that the truck is an R70 and which version you have. For filters, go by the number on the old element, as filters with the same outside dimensions can differ inside. For the valve cover gasket, use the number on the old gasket or the engine designation on the rocker cover. If you run other Still trucks, their parts are under Still parts.
