With more than 550 parts for the Fendt Favorit 818, this page covers lighting, electrics, trailer couplings and more, so you can quickly see what fits.
Most Favorit 818 tractors have plenty of hours behind them, and at that stage it is the details that keep you busy. A switch that sticks, a split coolant hose, a work lamp that gives up halfway through the evening. This page lists more than 550 new parts that fit the Favorit 818, from GRANIT, HELLA, GRAMMER, ROCKINGER, Wabco and others.
The consoles of the Favorit 818 carry a large number of push button and rocker switches, each with its own symbol. You can get these switches separately, together with the indicator symbols and the rubber surrounds. Work lamps with their holders and brackets are here too, as is an alternator to feed all those consumers.
Before you swap a rocker switch, take a photo of the back with every wire still in place. On illuminated switches the terminals sit close together, and a crossed wire only shows up once the function fails or the backlight stays on.
Fit new hose clamps whenever you replace a coolant hose. Old clamps have bedded into the rubber and often fail to seal a fresh hose. Squeeze the old hose before throwing it away. If it feels soft or flaky inside, other hoses of the same age are likely in similar condition. After refilling, bleed the system and check the level again once the engine has been up to temperature.
If a work lamp keeps failing, look at its holder before blaming the lamp. A cracked bracket lets the lamp shake on every bump, and that vibration shortens its life considerably.
For the cab there are tractor seats, including air suspended models, along with gas struts and grab handles for the body panels. A loose handle is more than cosmetic, since you pull your full weight on it every time you climb in.
The Favorit 818 is part of the Fendt Favorit 800 series. The chassis number on the data plate helps, because parts can differ by production period within one series. Hoses, gaskets and switches often have a reference number moulded or printed on them, which is the quickest route to the right replacement.
Each sister model has its own page with the parts for that tractor:
