A radiator that has silted up inside will let the engine overheat under heavy draft. A replacement radiator and radiator hoses are listed here. Change the hoses whenever the radiator comes out, since an old hose that has gone hard or soft often splits soon after the repair. Flush the system before refilling it.
If the linkage drops or responds slowly, the hydraulic pump may be worn. Check the suction side first, because air drawn into the system makes the oil foam and looks just like a pump that has lost pressure. Sealing rings for the lift cylinder are available too. When ordering a pump, check the direction of rotation and the shaft connection.
For the double clutch there are pressure plate assemblies, complete clutch kits and thrust bearings. Once the tractor is split, the release bearing should always be renewed. Look at the flywheel while you are there. If it shows blue patches or deep scoring, have it skimmed or replaced before fitting the new plate.
On the fuel side there is a feed pump and a regulator spring. After replacing the feed pump, bleed the system before starting, otherwise the engine may refuse to fire or stall soon after.
Pistons, piston ring sets, seals and exhaust gaskets cover a top end or full overhaul, and spacers are available as well.
The identification plate tells you whether it is a 6830. After that, let the old part guide you, as bearings, gaskets and pumps often show a reference number or a size. For a radiator hose, the inner diameter and length are what count.
Before an engine overhaul, measure the bores. Fit piston rings with the gaps staggered around the piston, and note the marking that shows which side faces up. The regulator spring influences how the engine responds to load, so replace it if it has gone weak or is damaged. Lift cylinder sealing rings are best replaced as a set, fitted with clean hands and a little hydraulic oil on the lips.
