Much of the day to day repair work on a 208 Vario happens in and around the cab. Here you will find push button switches for the hazard lights, rocker switches, headlights, LED spotlights for work lighting and a rotating beacon with its holder and spring. For the rear window there is a hinge disc. On the engine side there is a pressure switch for the fuel filter head, along with seals, pins, bushes and a holder for the wheel chock.
For the three point linkage there is a hydraulic top link, which lets you adjust the angle of an implement from the seat. The air brake system is covered by connector heads and separate covers. One habit saves a lot of brake trouble: always close the cover when no trailer is hooked up. Grit and water in the connector head damage the rubber seal, and whatever gets in will end up in the brake lines sooner or later. If a head hisses when you couple up, replace the seal or the complete head.
If a rocker switch runs warm or a function cuts out now and then, the contacts inside are worn. Replace it before the plug behind it starts to melt, and take a photo of the wiring before you disconnect anything. Switching to LED spotlights also eases the load on the circuit, since they draw less current than halogen lamps.
