More than 300 parts for the Fendt 209 S from the Fendt 200 series are gathered here. Think lighting, electrics and components for steering and front axle.
The Fendt 209 S is a compact tractor that tends to do many short jobs around the yard and in orchards. This page lists more than 300 replacement parts that fit the type, from GRANIT, HELLA, Wabco, Walterscheid, LUK and others.
Lots of short runs are hard on the electrics. For the 209 S there are starter motors, alternators, relays and solenoid switches. If the starter only clicks, measure the voltage at the solenoid and check the earth cable first. A corroded contact gives exactly the same symptom as a failed starter and is much quicker to fix.
On the dashboard you will find push button switches, such as the hazard light switch, and indicator symbols for the warning lamps. Work lamps, including flush mounted versions, are also listed.
A relay that sticks can leave a circuit running with the switch off, or stop it working at all. The quick test is to swap it with an identical relay from another socket. If the circuit then works, the old relay is the culprit.
For the PTO clutch there are thrust bearings and discs. A thrust bearing that squeals when the clutch is pressed should not be left for long, as it soon damages the disc as well. The lower link shaft takes O-rings, and connector heads are available for trailer air brakes. Gas struts complete this group.
A thin film of grease helps when fitting O-rings on the lower link shaft, so the ring slides over edges and grooves without tearing. With connector heads, keep the dust caps closed when no trailer is attached.
Oil leaks on an older engine often start in small places. There are sealing rings for the valve cover bolts, air receiver gaskets and seals, for example for the tank sensor. When you renew a valve cover gasket, fit new bolt sealing rings as well.
The type plate shows if your tractor is a 209 S. That matters with Fendt, because related types with a similar number each have their own page. With the old part in hand, compare its reference number with the parts on this page.
Within the Fendt range, this tractor sits in the 200 line. These Vario models from that series have their own page:
