The range for the Fendt 312 Vario runs to more than 700 parts. Start with lighting, electrics or trailer couplings to reach the right item quickly.
Time spent in a tractor cab shows up first in the small things: a handle that has worked loose, a front window frame that no longer stays open, a floor covering worn through at the pedals. For the Fendt 312 Vario there are rubber floor coverings, handles, gas struts for the windscreen frame and mirrors. Work lights are well covered, LED units from HELLA among them, for the roof and mudguards. For the seat there are GRAMMER parts, and for the trailer brake line Wabco coupling heads. In all, this page brings together more than 700 parts for the 312 Vario.
On the electrical side there are starter motors and alternators, temperature sensors, push button switches and potentiometers. Potentiometers are small, but they tell the electronics where a lever or pedal sits. A worn one causes odd faults, such as a jerky linkage or a drive lever that does not respond the way it should.
If the charge light comes on or the battery keeps going flat, do not condemn the alternator straight away. First check the tension and condition of the drive belt and make sure the earth strap and terminals are clean and tight. A slipping belt or a corroded cable lug gives exactly the same symptoms as a failing alternator.
When replacing a potentiometer, mark the position of the old one before removal and fit the new one in exactly the same position. Then check that the control responds properly and have the function recalibrated if needed. Look at the plug as well, because moisture in the connector produces the same symptoms as a worn potentiometer.
For general maintenance there are seals and sealing rings, bushes for the pivots and springs for the mudguards. If a joint is leaking, renew every ring in it at once so you only do the job one time.
The 312 Vario was made in four versions, all gathered on this page. The Typ number on the identification plate tells you which one you have, and each has its own page with only the parts that fit:
If the plate is gone or painted over, pick up the old part. Starters, alternators and sensors almost always carry a reference number on the housing, which you can check against the item.
The 312 Vario has siblings in the Fendt 300, each with its own page: Fendt 309 Vario, Fendt 310 Vario, Fendt 311 Vario, Fendt 313 Vario and Fendt 314 Vario. Cab parts, lighting and switches are often shared across this range, so if you run more than one of them you will recognise a lot there. For any other Fendt, head to the brand overview of Fendt parts.
