Lighting, electrics and trailer couplings are just three of the groups on this page: more than 550 parts for the Fendt 415 Vario from the Fendt 400 series.
In autumn a Fendt 415 Vario often keeps going long after dark, which is exactly when you find out which work lamp has given up. Lighting is a natural place to start, but this page lists more than 550 parts for the 415 Vario, covering the cab, the charging system and trailer work as well.
There are LED work lamps with a spotlight beam, separate brackets for mounting them, rear lights and rotating beacons, together with the spring that holds a beacon in its holder. For the dash there are push button switches, such as the red hazard switch with lock. HELLA supplies a good share of the lighting.
A tip when switching from halogen to LED: check the plug and wiring first and seal the connection against water after plugging in. LED lamps draw less current, so a half corroded contact that went unnoticed with halogen can cause flicker with LED. Bolt the lamp firmly to its bracket, because vibration wears out every lamp on a tractor.
A front window that will not stay open usually points to a tired gas strut. For the 415 Vario there are gas struts for the windscreen frame and for other spots on the cab. You will also find body handles, holders, springs, pins and seals, plus O-rings for the tank.
When replacing the front window strut, have someone hold the window or wedge it with a block of wood. An old strut is still under pressure, so never drill, cut or burn it. Before working on a starter or alternator, disconnect the battery negative first. The heavy positive cable on the starter stays live with the ignition off, and a slipped spanner is all it takes for a short.
For the electrics there are alternators and starter motors. Match a starter by the number of pinion teeth and the direction of rotation, and an alternator by its flange and mounting. For towing there are drawbars finished in AGCO grey and connector heads for trailers with air brakes, from ROCKINGER, Scharmüller and Wabco. GRANIT turns up in nearly every group on this page.
If you are unsure whether a part fits, take the reference number off the old one and compare it with the product details. The 415 Vario belongs to the Fendt 400 series, and these models from the series have their own pages too: Fendt 411 Vario, Fendt 412 Vario, Fendt 413 Vario and Fendt 414 Vario. Every other Fendt tractor is reached through Fendt parts.
