Servicing a Fendt 513 Vario starts with the right part. Here you will find more than 350 of them, including lighting, electrics and trailer couplings.
The Fendt 513 Vario was produced in more than one version, and a part that suits one version does not automatically suit the other. Before ordering, check the type plate. Next to the model name it shows a Typ number, and each Typ number has its own page listing only the parts for that version:
If the plate has worn or the number is unreadable, this page shows more than 350 parts that fit the 513 Vario as a whole. A reference number on the old part is then the quickest way to the right item.
In the cab you will find mirrors, floor mats, gas struts, push button switches and tank caps, including a lockable fuel filler cap. Beacons and LED work lights handle visibility, and the spring for the beacon holder is sold separately. For the engine there are seals, gaskets such as the one for the front cover, O-rings, temperature sensors and other sensors. Brands on this page include GRANIT, HELLA, Wabco, ROCKINGER and Scharmüller.
A beacon on a push-on pin vibrates all day. If it wobbles or cuts out now and then, check the spring in the holder and the contacts before replacing the whole unit. With LED work lights, a poor earth connection is a common reason for flickering.
The Wabco connector heads link the tractor air brakes to the trailer. On these hoses the colour tells you the job: the red one carries supply air, while the yellow one carries the brake signal. A leaking head is easiest to hear with the engine off and the compressor quiet. A cracked rubber seal inside the head lets pressure escape, and the trailer will brake poorly as a result. Keep the dust caps on whenever nothing is hitched, so grit and water stay out of the lines.
Gas struts on the rear window or roof hatch lose pressure over time. Where a second strut sits on the other side, replace both together, since a new strut next to a tired one pulls the glass out of line and the pair wears unevenly. Rubber floor mats keep mud and water off the cab floor and cut down noise.
The 513 Vario belongs to the Fendt 500 series. These models from the same range each have a page with only the parts that fit them:
Every other Fendt model is listed under Fendt parts.
