Two things to know: this page covers the Fendt 513 Vario in Typ 436 form and lists more than 300 parts, lighting, electrics and trailer couplings among them.
This page covers the 513 Vario that carries Typ 436 on its type plate, and it shows only the parts for that version, more than 300 in all. If your plate gives a different number, go to Fendt 513 Vario (Typ 414). Not sure which one you have? Then Fendt 513 Vario lists the parts for the model as a whole.
A rev counter that jumps around or drops out now and then often comes down to the engine speed sensor. For the Typ 436 there is a sensor with connecting cable and plug. Before buying a new one, take the old sensor out and look at the tip. Metal particles stuck to the magnet disturb the signal, so wipe it clean, check the plug for green corrosion and test again. Engine work is also covered by Elring gaskets, among them the front cover gasket, together with seals, O-rings and bushes.
Mirrors, rubber floor mats, gas struts and push button switches keep the workplace in order. The floor mat with a cut-out for the engine brake shows how closely these mats are shaped to the cab floor. Beacons and the spring for the beacon holder make sure you are seen on the road.
Wabco connector heads, including the red head for the supply line, and covers for the connectors are what you need for air braked trailers. Tank caps, lockable ones too, and discs complete the list. Brands on this page are GRANIT, Wabco, HELLA, ROCKINGER and Elring.
Bushes are small parts with a big effect. A worn bush creates play, and that play wears the shaft or pin running through it faster. Press a new bush in straight with a suitable drift or a piece of pipe, never with odd blows on the edge, or it will distort and bind straight away. A thin film of grease or oil on the outside makes pressing easier. A lockable tank cap is worth fitting too if the tractor is often left overnight on an outlying field.
The surest guide is the number on the part you remove. Gaskets often have it pressed into the material, sensors printed on the housing. Compare it with the item, and double check that your type plate really reads Typ 436, because on this model that makes a difference.
