A mirror torn off in a narrow gateway, a work light that dies halfway through harvest. On a Fendt 516 Vario these are the jobs that crop up between everything else, and this page has more than 350 parts to deal with them and plenty more. There are left and right mirrors, including wide-angle versions, LED work lights from HELLA and rotating beacons with the spring that keeps the lamp seated in its holder.
With a mirror, the rod it clamps onto is what matters. Measure the diameter of the mirror arm on your tractor and compare it with the clamp on the new mirror before ordering, so you are not packing it out with washers or tape.
Around the engine there are seals and O-rings, gaskets for the front cover and the water pump, temperature sensors and other sensors. In the cab you will find push button switches and rubber floor mats, and outside there are fuel tank caps and Wabco coupling heads for the trailer brakes. Gas struts hold the rear window and door open, and there are springs for the mudguards. If a steering mudguard rattles on a rough track or hangs crooked, the spring has often snapped or stretched. Replace it before the mudguard starts rubbing on the tyre.
The 516 Vario comes in more than one version. The Typ number on the identification plate decides exactly which parts fit, and each Typ number has its own page:
If you know your Typ number, go straight there and everything that does not belong on your version drops away. If the plate cannot be read, use the reference number on the old part. Nearly every sensor and switch carries one, and it tells you exactly which part was fitted.
If the rear window slowly sinks or you have to hold the door open by hand, the gas strut has lost its charge. Where two are fitted side by side, always replace both. A new strut working next to a tired one ends up doing all the work and soon fails too. Fit them with the piston rod facing down so the seal stays lubricated.
From the same range, the Fendt 512 Vario, Fendt 513 Vario and Fendt 514 Vario each have their own page. Mirrors, lamps and many small parts are shared, which is handy if one of those is in your yard as well. The rest of the brand is under Fendt parts.
