The selection for the Typ 760 is compact, more than 70 parts, yet it includes items you will not see on every page, such as a hydraulic pump, a NOX sensor and steering parts. Everything shown here is intended for this version of the 714 Vario, as identified by the Typ number on the type plate.
For the front axle there is a track rod and there are ball joints. Wear in the steering shows as a tractor that wanders on the road or steering that feels vague. Have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you feel each ball joint for knock. After fitting a new track rod or ball joint, always reset the toe-in, otherwise the front tyres will scrub and wear on one edge. Use a new self-locking nut or split pin every time.
Around the engine there is a temperature sensor for the EGR module and a NOX sensor. When a warning appears, have the fault code read before ordering a sensor, because a loose plug or chafed wire often triggers exactly the same message. For starting and charging there is a gear reduction starter and an alternator, and for the hydraulics a hydraulic pump.
When fitting the hydraulic pump, work as cleanly as you can. Cap open lines straight away and fill the pump with clean oil before the first start so it does not run dry. If the hydraulic filter is due, change it at the same time, because dirt in the oil is what wears a pump out. Run the engine at idle first and check every connection for leaks.
The driver can choose from air suspended tractor seats, and there are rubber floor mats. Outside you will find front indicators, LED tail and brake lights and reflectors. Gas struts hold a door or the bonnet open, and there is a tank cap as well. Brands include GRANIT, HELLA, GRAMMER, Wabco and Scharmüller.
