Own a Fendt 720 Vario Typ 741 and there is no need to guess. The more than 300 parts here for lighting, electrics and trailer couplings are matched to it.
Hitching, lighting and sealing make up the bulk of what a 720 Vario needs over the years, and this page gathers more than 300 parts for the version with Typ 741 on its type plate. Only parts that fit Typ 741 appear here. They come from brands including GRANIT, HELLA, ROCKINGER, Wabco and Walterscheid.
Look at the type plate next to the model name. If the number there is not 741, head to Fendt 720 Vario (Typ 735) or Fendt 720 Vario (Typ 763) instead. A faded plate is common on a hard working tractor. In that case check the part you removed, because switches and sensors usually have a reference number on the housing that you can compare with the product details. You can also start from the general Fendt 720 Vario page, which links all versions of the model.
An automatic drawbar takes a beating every day. Once a year, check the play between the pin and the jaw, make sure the locking mechanism snaps back cleanly and grease the pin. On a hydraulic top link, the chrome rod is the weak spot. Keep it clean when the tractor is parked, because scoring or rust on the rod chews up the seal and oil starts to weep down the cylinder.
Electrical faults deserve a quick check as well. A pressure switch that triggers random warnings is often fine itself, with a corroded connector causing the trouble. Clean the plug before you replace the switch.
A beacon that wobbles on the cab roof often has a tired spring in its holder. That spring is sold separately, so there is no need to buy a whole new lamp. The same goes for a fuel cap that no longer seals, where a fresh O-ring is usually enough. And when you pressure wash the cab, lift the floor mats out first so the floor underneath can dry.
Each tractor in the series has its own page, which is handy when you look after more than one Fendt:
