That step matters with electrical parts and seals in particular. If you still have the old part, look for the number stamped or printed on it. The reference number together with the Typ number will almost always get you to the right replacement.
The parts run from the engine bay into the cab. On the electrical side there are alternators, temperature sensors and push button switches, such as a switch for the air conditioning and heating that comes with cable and plug. For long evenings in the field there are LED work lights, including HELLA units, and rotating beacons with their own bracket and spring. Inside the cab you will find GRAMMER tractor seats, among them an air suspended Maximo Professional, and discs for the rear screen hinge. Gaskets, a hydraulic pump, fuel filler caps and Wabco connector heads for the trailer air brake line complete the picture, together with covers to keep the couplings clean.
The red connector head belongs to the supply line and the yellow one to the control line. Swap them when hitching up and the trailer brakes will not work as intended. Check the rubber seal inside each head: a cracked or flattened seal leaks air, which you will hear as a hiss as soon as the system is under pressure. Close the cover whenever nothing is coupled, so dirt and water stay out of the line. A damaged connector head or a broken cover can be replaced on its own without opening the line.
