More than 250 parts for the Fendt 824 Vario Typ 840 in one place. Electrics, lighting and trailer couplings are picked for this version of the Fendt 800 series.
Everything on this page fits one specific tractor: the Fendt 824 Vario with Typ 840 on its identification plate. There are more than 250 parts here from GRANIT, HELLA, Wabco, ROCKINGER and GRAMMER. The other version of the model has its own page at Fendt 824 Vario (Typ 834), and Fendt 824 Vario shows both together if you are not yet sure which one you have.
The Typ number is on the identification plate, and checking it first avoids sending a part back. Where the plate is unreadable, look for a reference number on the part you are taking off. Alternators and sensors usually have one printed on the body, and that number can be matched with the items on this page.
For towing there are automatic drawbars and air brake connector heads, such as the red head for the supply line, along with covers for those connectors. On the lighting side you will find LED work lights, rotating beacons and the spring that holds the beacon in its holder. In the cab, air suspended tractor seats such as the Maximo Professional and push button switches take care of comfort. Temperature sensors, including the one for the air conditioning, other sensors, alternators, seals, lockable fuel caps, discs and holders complete the picture.
If a beacon wobbles or drops out of its holder on rough tracks, the spring is the usual suspect. It is a small part and a far quicker fix than chasing a new beacon.
Connector heads take a beating every time a trailer goes on or off. When a coupling starts to hiss, check the rubber seal inside the head before replacing the whole unit. Keep the colours straight when fitting new heads: red is the supply line, yellow the brake line. Mixing them up stops the trailer brakes from working as intended. Snapping a cover over an unused head keeps grit out of the valve, which makes the seal last longer. A drop of silicone spray on the seal now and then keeps it supple through the winter.
Each other model in the range has its own parts page, and the Typ number on the plate is again what decides the fit:
