For the Fendt 828 Vario, Typ 842, this selection centres on electrics, lighting and trailer couplings. In total, more than 250 parts fit this version.
You are on the page for one specific version, the Fendt 828 Vario with Typ 842 on its type plate. The more than 250 parts shown here are all assigned to that Typ number. If you are not certain which 828 is in your shed, the type plate tells you, or start from the Fendt 828 Vario overview. For the other version, go to Typ 836.
One of the parts here is a temperature sensor for the air conditioning. It reads how cold the evaporator gets and cuts the compressor in time so the evaporator does not ice up. If the system cools well at first and then barely blows cold air after a while, or the compressor keeps cycling on and off in short bursts, a failed or badly seated sensor is a likely suspect. Check the plug and make sure the cab filter is not blocked before you replace it.
The type plate is what counts. If it reads Typ 842, this page is yours. When the plate is damaged or painted over, look at the part you are replacing. Sensors, alternators and coupling heads carry a reference number, and that is the quickest way to confirm a match with the item.
A push button switch that only responds to a firm press, or whose warning light flickers, usually has worn contacts. Disconnect the battery before you swap it so the plug behind the panel cannot short against anything. Press the new switch straight into the opening until it clicks home, then check that both the function and its light work.
