If a trailer pushes the tractor when braking or brakes late, the problem is not always on the trailer. A sluggish trailer control valve on the tractor causes exactly those symptoms. When you unhitch, use the dummy couplings and do not let the connector heads lie in the dirt. Grit in a connector head damages the seal and the valve behind it.
For the engine there is a crankshaft seal, and temperature sensors including one at the diesel particulate filter. The AdBlue system is covered with parts such as the feed, and for the hydraulics there are hydraulic pumps. Tank caps, tie rod ends and cab suspension dampers, among them dampers from SACHS, complete the list. If the cab keeps rocking after a bump or bottoms out hard on rough roads, the dampers are usually worn. Replace them in pairs so both sides work evenly.
With AdBlue, cleanliness pays off. Keep the filler neck clean and use a dedicated clean can or nozzle. Even a little diesel or dust in the AdBlue tank can damage the pump and the dosing unit. If you see white crystals around the cap or a connector, wipe them away with lukewarm water and check that the cap still seals properly, because a cap that no longer closes lets moisture and dirt in.
Check the serial plate to confirm the tractor is a 942 Vario. Some parts are intended for the whole range from the 922 up to the 942, such as the crankshaft seal, and the description then says so. For sensors and the hydraulic pump, compare the number on the old part with the product description.
