The Fendt Farmer 4S is often referred to simply as the "Farmer 4", but the official type designation is 4S. Built from 1967 to 1972, it is part of the Farmer S series and was available in both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive (4SA) configurations. The 4S followed on from the Farmer 3S and was itself succeeded by the Farmer 5S from 1970 onwards, which was still produced alongside the 4S during that period. Like the other S-models, the 4S has an open operator station without a fixed cab, though an all-weather canopy was available as an option.
Standard tyres on the 2WD version are 6.50-20 front and 13.6-36 rear. The 4WD version runs 10.5-20 front tyres.
