Jungheinrich EFG 425 parts for the seat and battery watering

On an electric Jungheinrich EFG 425, two things decide whether a shift runs smoothly: a battery that is topped up correctly and a seat the driver can sit on for hours. This page brings together more than 50 new parts for this truck, from GRAMMER, HELLA, GRANIT, FRÖTEK and Philips.

Seat parts and safety switches

A worn seat rarely has to be replaced as a whole. For the EFG 425 there are seat cushions in fabric and PVC, back cushions, tilt adjustable armrests, back extensions and Duo-Sensitiv lap belts. The seat contact switch is here too. It tells the truck that someone is sitting in the seat, so replace it as soon as it starts to play up and never bridge it, because that disables a safety function. A lap belt that frays or no longer retracts by itself should be changed straight away.

Aquamatik couplings and plugs

For the battery watering system there are Aquamatik couplings and plugs with a valve and hose connection. A leaking coupling or a plug that no longer clicks home means the cells fill unevenly. Only top up once the battery is fully charged. The electrolyte expands during charging, so topping up too early ends with acid on top of the battery. After fitting a new coupling, flush the hoses briefly with demineralised water so no dirt is left in the valves.

Lights and signals

To see and be seen in the warehouse there are halogen bulbs, a work lamp, a warning bulb, a round reflector and a wiper blade, along with switch symbols such as the hazard light symbol and shock absorbers.

Finding the matching part

Check on the type plate that the truck really is an EFG 425 and note the serial number. For seat parts, the GRAMMER seat type on the label of the seat is the key, since cushions and armrests are made for a particular seat type. On bulbs and switches the reference number is usually on the part itself. Compare it with the details listed with the product.

With the shock absorbers, look at the mounting eye and the rubber bushes. A damper that leaks oil or rattles in its mounting has stopped doing its job, and on a truck that crosses thresholds and dock edges all day you soon feel it in your back. Replace cracked bushes at the same time.

More types from this maker are on the Jungheinrich parts page, where every Jungheinrich type with its own parts page is listed, useful when the warehouse runs a mix of trucks.
