Jungheinrich TFG 550 spare parts

A seat that slides is a safety issue

If the seat creeps forward under braking, the adjustment rails are usually worn or clogged with dirt. Clean them first, clear out old grease and grit, and check that the latch still drops firmly into its notches. Rails that are worn out or bent need replacing with a new rail set. An operator who suddenly sits further back or forward can lose easy reach of the pedals and levers at exactly the wrong moment. After fitting, tighten all the bolts and test the latch in every position.

Identifying the right part

The data plate confirms you have a TFG 550. For cushions and the back extension, the label on the seat shows the seat series, such as MSG 65, along with the upper part they belong to. For a relay or bulb, use the number on the old one and compare it with the product description.

Seat switch and lap belt

The seat contact switch under the seat makes sure the truck only drives when someone is sitting on it. If the TFG 550 occasionally drops into a fault while driving, first check that the switch plug is pushed fully home and that the cable is not being pinched as the seat slides back and forth. That is worth checking especially after fitting new adjustment rails. Route the cable so it can follow the seat through its whole travel. Test the Duo-Sensitiv lap belt with a short, sharp pull. It should lock and then retract cleanly, and a frayed strap or a buckle that no longer latches means it is replaced straight away.
