When the linkage lifts slowly or drops under load, the hydraulic pump or leaking seals are the usual suspects. A hydraulic pump and lift shaft sealing rings are listed here. Before fitting a new pump, fill it with clean oil and turn it over by hand a few times so it does not run dry on the first start. Check the drive taper and key as well, since there must be no play there.
For the clutch there are complete clutch kits and separate thrust bearings for the driving clutch. Whenever the clutch is out, fit a new thrust bearing too. A bearing that starts whining soon after means splitting the tractor all over again. While you are there, inspect the flywheel. If it shows blue heat marks or fine cracks, have it skimmed before the new plate goes on. Bushes and spacers complete the driveline parts.
Engine parts include gaskets, such as the one for the rear cover, along with thermostats and O-rings. An alternator is available if the battery has stopped charging. There is an exhaust tube, and you will also find rocker switches, lamp glasses and holders. Brake cylinder O-rings and a replacement drawbar complete the picture.
A rusted through exhaust tube is not only noisy, it can also direct hot gases towards the operator or the fuel system. Use new clamps when replacing it and mount the tube without tension so vibration does not crack the joint again. Before removing the alternator, check the belt and cables, as a slipping belt or a corroded terminal also leaves the battery flat.
Check the type plate to confirm you have a 60-90. Hydraulic pumps and alternators usually carry their own plate with a number. Compare it with the number given on the product, and with a pump also check the direction of rotation.
