Whether it is lighting, electrics or a trailer coupling, the Fiat 82-94 from the 94 series has more than 250 parts waiting for you on this page.
Battery not charging, starter turning slowly or clutch starting to slip? The Fiat 82-94 has more than 250 parts on this page, with a solid line-up for the electrics and the driveline, from brands including GRANIT, Cobo, MAHLE, LUK and Eaton.
There are alternators, gear reduction starters, V-belts and aircon compressors for the 82-94. Before replacing an alternator, look at the belt. A loose or glazed V-belt slips on the pulley, and then even a healthy alternator undercharges. Midway between two pulleys you should only be able to push the belt in a little with your thumb. Where two belts run side by side, replace them as a pair so they share the load evenly.
The clutch side covers clutch kits, double clutch pressure plates and thrust bearings, and there are gear wheels as well. If you split the tractor for the clutch, fit a new thrust bearing while you are in there.
For the linkage there are lift rods and seals, including ones for the lift cylinder. If the linkage slowly drops under load, a fresh set of seals is often all it needs. You will also find sealing rings, O-rings such as the thermostat O-ring, and water pump gaskets. Tractor seats and drawbars complete the list.
A new water pump always goes on with a new gasket. Clean the mating face on the block thoroughly and refill the cooling system with fresh coolant. Run the engine with the filler cap off until the thermostat opens, so trapped air can escape.
Lift rods often have an adjustable section to set the left and right arms to the same height. Grease the thread when fitting and lock the rod afterwards.
The 82-94 is one of several tractors in the Fiat 94 series, so check the data plate first. Alternators and starters usually carry their own plate with a number you can compare with the new unit. On an alternator also look at the mounting and pulley, on a starter at the direction of rotation.
To see whether the alternator is charging, put a simple meter across the battery. With the engine running, the reading should be clearly higher than with it switched off. A whine as soon as you press the clutch pedal, on the other hand, usually means a worn thrust bearing.
The other models in the series have their own pages:
