With a diesel or LPG engine, the Linde H30 needs clean air and clean fuel just as much as it needs a seat that still supports the driver. Some plates read H30D rather than H30, and the truck may run on diesel or on LPG. Before you order a fuel filter, look at the type plate for the exact designation, the fuel type and the serial number. For filters, the quickest route is the number on the old filter itself, printed on the housing or on a label. Compare that reference number with the details listed with the product. For crankshaft seals, go by the number on the old seal rather than by eye.
On the intake side there are air filters and safety cartridges, and for the fuel system there are fuel filters with straight connections. You will also find crankshaft seals for an engine that weeps oil, a start switch and a cutting ring for remaking a pipe joint.
A word on the safety cartridge, the inner element that protects the engine if the main filter tears or sits crooked in its housing. Never blow it out with compressed air, and only take it out of the housing when you are replacing it. Common practice is to renew it at every second or third change of the main filter, or straight away if the main element turns out to be damaged. While the housing is open, check that its rubber seal is still supple, because a hardened edge lets dust past.
Black PVC seat cushions and back cushions bring a worn seat back into shape. Mirrors, wiper blades, halogen bulbs and an indicator and position light with a separate lens keep the view clear and the truck visible to people on foot. Switch symbols such as the hazard light symbol can be replaced on their own once the old one has worn or cracked, and there is a gas strut for the H30 as well.
