Check the type plate first: for the Fendt 939 Vario Typ 960 we list more than 40 parts, such as engine parts, cab accessories and steering and front axle parts.
On a Fendt 939 Vario with Typ 960 on the type plate, the exhaust aftertreatment is often where downtime starts. A NOX sensor reporting bad values or a blocked AdBlue filter can put the engine into limp mode in the middle of a job. This page brings together more than 40 parts that fit this exact version, covering the AdBlue system as well as seats, trailer brake parts and steering joints.
You will find an AdBlue filter, AdBlue feed parts, a NOX sensor, a differential pressure sensor and temperature sensors, including the one at the diesel particulate filter. Change the AdBlue filter as part of routine servicing and clean around the filler cap and filter housing before you open anything. AdBlue crystallises quickly, and even small crystals can damage the pump or the dosing unit. Keep a dedicated clean container for AdBlue and never use one that has held diesel.
If the steering feels loose, jack up the front axle and rock the wheel at front and rear. A knock you can feel at the axial joint tells you which part needs replacing. After any work on track rods or joints, have the toe-in checked.
With the seat, it pays to find the cause before ordering a new one. An air suspended seat that slowly sinks after you climb out usually has a leak in the air spring or a tired compressor under the cushion. A worn cab damper shows itself differently, as a knock over rough field tracks, and dampers are best replaced in pairs so the cab sits level.
This page only covers Typ 960. If your type plate shows a different number, use the Fendt 939 Vario (Typ 946) or the Fendt 939 Vario (Typ 954) page, or start from the Fendt 939 Vario model page. With sensors in particular, match the reference number on the old part, because connectors often look identical while the measuring range does not.
Other tractors from the Fendt 900 range have their own pages too: Fendt 924 Vario, Fendt 927 Vario, Fendt 930 Vario, Fendt 933 Vario, Fendt 936 Vario and Fendt 942 Vario. Own a different Fendt as well? Head to Fendt parts.
