Sorting through parts for a Fiat 65-88? This 88 series tractor has more than 200 of them on this page, such as lighting, electrics and trailer couplings.
The Fiat 65-88 has plenty of life left in it if the wear items are dealt with in time. More than 200 parts on this page fit this tractor. They are new replacement parts from GRANIT and from manufacturers including Cobo, LUK, MAHLE and Walterscheid.
If the battery is not charging, an alternator is the likely candidate. For starting there are gear reduction starters, which turn the engine over with less current draw than an older direct drive unit. Inside the cab, worn rocker switches are a simple swap. On the lighting side, an indicator or position light often only has a cracked or faded lens while the housing and bulb holder are still sound. In that case a separate lamp glass is all you need, and the complete light for left or right is there when the housing itself has given up.
Before ordering a hydraulic pump, check the direction of rotation and the drive. A pump turning the wrong way will not deliver oil and can be damaged quickly. The rotation is stated for every pump, so compare it with the unit you are taking off.
Measure the charging voltage with the engine running and check the earth strap first. A poor earth connection on an older tractor gives exactly the same symptoms as a failed regulator, and costs a lot less to fix. If the alternator really is at fault, compare the pulley and mounting flange of the old unit with the new one before fitting.
The type plate tells you which model you have. On a tractor of this age some parts may already have been swapped for different ones over the years, so the number on the old part is a more dependable guide than memory. Hold it against the references listed with each product. For shaft seals, measuring inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness is a sure way to get the right one.
If you also look after a Fiat 60-88 or a Fiat 70-88, each has its own page listing what fits that model. For everything from this make, go to Fiat parts.
