Linde E14 parts: gas struts, lamps and cab items

A door that swings shut on its own or a rear window that will not stay open is often the first sign that a Linde E14 needs attention. This page lists more than 40 parts for this electric forklift, from gas struts to lamps and a horn, supplied by Stabilus, HELLA, BOSCH, GRANIT and GRAMMER.

Replacing a gas strut on the E14

Several gas struts fit the E14, including one for a door, front or rear window. To pick the right one you need the code printed on the old strut body and its fully extended length. If the code has worn off, also measure the stroke, meaning how far the rod travels in.

Prop the door or window with a clamp or a helper before you unclip the old strut, because nothing will hold it once the strut is off. Fit the new one rod down. An old gas strut is still pressurised, so do not throw it in the scrap bin without thinking.

Lamps and signals

Lighting on the E14 is made up of many small parts you can replace one at a time:

• halogen bulbs and flood beam work lamps
• an indicator and position light, with lenses available separately
• plastic socket bulbs and a warning bulb
• a round reflector, a horn with holder and a changeover relay

A cracked lens lets in moisture, and moisture corrodes the bulb holder. Swapping a broken lens early saves you replacing the complete lamp later on.

A silent horn is often not faulty itself. Check the plug, fuse and relay first, since moisture and vibration on a forklift regularly cause poor contact. Only when there is power at the horn and it still stays quiet is a new horn with holder due. The plastic socket bulbs sit in small indicator and warning lights, and a few spares in the workshop drawer save a trip later.

Cab and seat

Black mirrors and metal bracket wiper blades keep the view clear. The driver sits on a forklift seat, and a complete one fits the E14 too, such as the air suspended Primo L in fabric. New switch symbols, for instance the red hazard light symbol, make a worn dashboard easy to read again.

Checking the fit

Look at the data plate first and make sure it reads E14. Then compare the reference number on the old part with the number on the product, which means the type on a bulb base or the code on a strut body. If your fleet includes other Linde trucks, their parts are under Linde parts.
