The range for the electric Linde E40 focuses on hydraulics and electrics, rounded off with lighting. In total, more than 30 parts fit this forklift.
A wiper blade that smears, a mirror knocked off its arm, a relay that clicks but no longer switches: small faults like these keep an electric Linde E40 off the floor longer than they should. This page lists more than 30 new parts for the E40 from GRANIT, HELLA, GRAMMER, BOSCH and MANN-FILTER.
If the blade streaks or judders across the glass, clean both the screen and the rubber edge with water and a drop of washing up liquid first. If the streaks remain, the rubber has hardened or split and a new blade is due. Check the fitting type before you order, since a metal bracket blade clips on differently from a flat blade, and make sure the wiper arm still presses the blade firmly against the glass. Never run the wiper over a dry, dusty screen, as that wears a fresh rubber edge in no time.
Confirm on the data plate that you have an E40 in front of you. Then compare the number on the part you are removing with the product description, which works well for gas struts and relays alike. Cushions are matched by the upper part they fit, bulbs by their base, and a cutting ring by the pipe size and the thread of the fitting.
A relay that clicks but no longer powers anything usually has burnt contacts inside. Swap it for a new changeover relay with the same voltage, the same number of pins and the same layout in the socket. In the fuse box, always replace a blade fuse with one of the same rating. If it keeps blowing, look for a chafed wire rubbing on a sharp edge rather than fitting a heavier fuse. For the gas strut, the Linde number 84794 makes matching easy, but compare the length and end fittings of the old one too, and fit the new strut rod down.
