Hydraulics, lighting and seats with accessories: the Linde H40 on diesel or LPG is well covered here with more than 60 parts that fit this forklift.
With a heavy load on the forks and people in the aisle, clear visibility on a Linde H40 is not optional. A cracked lens, a loose mirror or a wiper blade that only smears are jobs worth doing straight away. For this forklift, whether it is a diesel, often written as H40D, or the LPG version, there are more than 60 matching parts from GRANIT, HELLA, GRAMMER, FEBI and BOSCH.
Lighting is covered by indicator and position lights, separate lenses for the left and right side, and halogen bulbs. If only the lens is cracked, replace just that and leave the lamp body in place. Clean the bulb holder while you are there. Green deposits on the contacts cause dim or flickering light even with a brand new bulb. Never touch the glass of a halogen bulb with bare fingers, as the grease burns in and shortens its life.
You will also find black mirrors, wiper blades and a symbol for the hazard light switch. A wiper blade with a torn rubber edge drags grit across the screen and leaves scratches over time, so it is worth changing early.
Oil under the truck right where the engine meets the drive points to the rear crankshaft seal. When you replace it, check the running surface on the crankshaft. If the old seal has worn a groove, set the new one slightly deeper or further out so the lip runs on clean metal, otherwise it will soon leak again.
Seat cushions and back cushions in black PVC are available for the driver's seat. A split cover lets moisture into the foam, and the cushion then collapses quickly. It pays to swap a cushion as soon as the cover opens up. What decides the fit is the upper part of the seat the cushion is fixed to.
The data plate shows whether the truck is an H40 and which drive it has. With lighting, also check the side, since lenses and lights come in left and right versions. Compare the number on the old part with the reference number given with the product.
Other Linde forklifts have pages of their own, each showing the parts that suit that model, gathered together on Linde parts.
