Find more than 300 parts for the Massey Ferguson 275 from the 200 series on this page, from lighting and trailer couplings to electrics, all fitting this model.
Plenty of MF 275 tractors from the 200 series still do daily work, and keeping one going means regular attention to the steering, the gearbox and the engine. This page holds more than 300 replacement parts for the 275, supplied by GRANIT, Eaton, Cobo, Walterscheid, VICTOR REINZ and others.
Play in the steering usually comes from worn ball joints. Have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth while you watch the joints. Any that knock or move are due for replacement. A leaking steering valve can be rebuilt with the seal kit on this page. Replace ball joints on one side as a pair where possible, and have the toe-in checked afterwards.
Whenever an injector comes out of the head, fit new copper sealing rings. The old ones have been crushed flat and will leak. There are pistons, gaskets such as the one for the lift housing, and seals for the tank sensor. The cooling fan can be replaced on its own if a blade is damaged. For lighting, there are rear lights and headlight inserts. A cracked headlight insert lets moisture in, and the reflector soon corrodes.
If you are opening the transmission, you will find shafts, gear wheels, thrust washers, pins and yokes here. Clutch plates are listed for the clutch, and the thrust washers deserve a look for scoring while everything is apart. When fitting one, check which side faces the flywheel and centre it with an alignment tool, otherwise the gearbox will not slide home cleanly.
Confirm on the identification plate that it is a 275. Many parts for this older Massey Ferguson carry a reference number in the metal or in the workshop manual. On gear wheels, count the teeth, and on a clutch plate check the splines and the hub size.
With a new cooling fan, check the blade orientation and make sure it turns freely inside the cowl. If the rear lights glow weakly, check the earth, as a rusty mounting is the usual cause on a tractor of this age. A new piston in a worn bore will not bring compression back, so measure the cylinder before ordering pistons.
These sister models have their own pages too, useful when more than one older MF is still in service:
