What fits the Massey Ferguson 8S.225? More than 40 parts for the 8S series, with trailer couplings, three-point linkage parts and electrics making up the bulk.
An 8S.225 spends its days pulling trailers, tippers and implements, and the parts on this page follow that work. There are more than 40 of them from GRANIT, Walterscheid, Scharmüller, HELLA and MAHLE, all matched to this Massey Ferguson.
On a dual-line system the red connector head is the supply line and the yellow one the control line to the trailer brakes. Never swap them. Keep the dust covers closed when nothing is hitched, because dirt damages the rubber seal inside, and the system then loses air as soon as a trailer is coupled. If you hear a hiss with the trailer attached, replace the connector head or its sealing ring.
With a hydraulic top link, the ball category has to match both your linkage and the implement. Also check that the stroke is enough for the implements you run, especially if you switch between heavy and light machines.
A leaking shock absorber shows up as an oily film on the body and a cab or axle that keeps bouncing. Replace shock absorbers in pairs so both sides damp equally. Lock the stabilizers when an implement has to run tight behind the tractor, such as a rotary harrow or drill, and give them some play for work where the implement may follow.
If the engine never reaches working temperature, the thermostat is probably stuck open. Replace it together with its seal and bleed the cooling system properly afterwards.
The type plate on your 8S.225 gives the type and serial number. For drawbar parts, the rail width and the hole pattern of the adapter plate help too, and the old part often carries a reference number you can compare directly with the parts on this page.
More models in the 8S series have a page of their own, each showing only the parts for that model:
Older and other series from the make are under Massey Ferguson parts.
