A 7S series tractor like the Massey Ferguson 7S.190 is served here with more than 30 parts, among them trailer couplings, electrics and lighting.
The list for the 7S.190 is still short but practical, with more than 30 parts that fit the Massey Ferguson 7S.190. They cover hitching, lights and visibility, and the engine and air conditioning. The makers are GRANIT, Walterscheid, Scharmüller, MAHLE and HELLA.
A thermostat, an aircon compressor and a starter motor take care of the engine side. When an aircon compressor seizes, it tends to spread metal particles through the whole circuit. So when you replace it, have the receiver drier renewed and the system flushed as well, or the new compressor may follow the old one. Refilling with refrigerant is a job for a certified workshop.
A thermostat that sticks open keeps the engine from reaching working temperature and leaves the cab cold in winter. One that sticks shut sends the temperature gauge climbing fast. Always fit a new thermostat with a fresh seal.
For the rear there are drawbar frames, ball drawbars, Piton Fix hooks, adapter plates and a drawbar retrofit kit. A hydraulic top link makes adjusting the three point linkage quicker. Connector heads join the trailer air brake lines.
With connector heads, red is the supply line and yellow is the brake line. Swap them and the trailer will not brake properly. Close the dust covers whenever nothing is connected so the seals stay clean and tight. A hydraulic top link lets you set the implement angle from the seat instead of climbing down and winding a turnbuckle.
Headlights, mirrors and a beacon look after visibility in both directions. The cab side includes a side window handle, and a signal transmitter completes the group. Work along hedges and ditches is hard on mirrors and headlights, and both can be replaced individually.
The drawbar retrofit kit lets you add a swinging drawbar for trailed implements, while an adapter plate puts a different coupling system on the rail of the drawbar frame.
Check the rating plate first. It should read 7S.190 and show the serial number. Old parts usually carry a stamped number or a label, particularly electrical items such as the starter and compressor. Compare it with the number in the product description, and if you cannot find one, send us a photo.
From the same 7S series, the Massey Ferguson 7S.180 also has its own page. If both tractors work on your farm, order for each one from its own page. The wider line-up is covered on the page for Massey Ferguson parts.
