What fits the Claas Ares 656? More than 60 parts, among them trailer couplings. That way you get straight to the right part for your Ares series tractor.
What runs behind your Claas Ares 656? A tipper with a ball coupling, a bale trailer with a drawbar eye or a big trailer with a piton ring each calls for a different coupling part. More than 60 replacement parts fit this model: drawbars, automatic hitches, flange hitches and the plates and frames they bolt to, from Scharmüller, Walterscheid, ROCKINGER and GRANIT. GRAMMER supplies the seat you spend the day on.
The part you need depends on what is behind your Ares. A short note on each system:
On top of that there are height adjustable adapter plates, drawbar frames, a top drawbar and parts for the forced steering of trailers with a steered axle.
A ball coupling needs a thin film of grease on the ball. Without it, the ball and the socket on the trailer drawbar wear quickly and the whole thing creaks in corners. At each service, measure the ball as well. If it is visibly out of round or scored, replace the ball insert or the whole ball, because grease will not fix that.
For the cab there is a GRAMMER Maximo Professional seat for Claas and an air suspended tractor seat. If you spend long days on the road with a heavy tipper, you notice the difference from a worn-out suspension straight away.
Check the model on the serial plate and measure the rail of the existing hitch. Rail width and pin diameter decide which drawbar, top drawbar or adapter plate fits, and those dimensions are given with every product. For a support plate, also check the hole pattern on the linkage.
The Ares 656 is one of several models in the Claas Ares range. Others have a page of their own, such as the Claas Ares 556, Claas Ares 557, Claas Ares 567, Claas Ares 657, Claas Ares 696 and Claas Ares 697. The Ares 577 and 816 belong to the same range. All other Claas models are under Claas parts.
