For the cab there are air-suspended tractor seats from GRAMMER, including a Maximo Dynamic, PROBOSS seats with a seat heater and an air-suspended seat with fabric trim. Support plates make it possible to fit a seat onto the console.
Before you unbolt the old seat, look at how it is mounted and measure the hole pattern on the console. A new seat only drops straight in when the mounting matches, otherwise you will need a suitable support plate. An air seat also needs a power feed for the compressor inside it, so check there is one at the seat. If an existing air seat slowly sinks, listen for the compressor running before deciding the whole seat must go.
At the rear the 640 takes drawbars, drawbar frames and height-adjustable adapter plates, plus automatic hitches, top drawbars, flange hitches, ball inserts and a Piton Fix. For steered trailers there is forced steering with a Pick-Up Hitch insert. Hydraulic lifting struts and an aircon compressor are also available.
On the Piton Fix and the automatic hitch, safety depends on the lock. Keep the locking pin and guide clean and lightly greased, since sand and muck make the mechanism stiff. After coupling, always check by eye that the lock has fully closed, and give the drawbar frame rail a little grease now and then so the hitch still moves when you need to adjust it.
Start with the type plate for the model and serial number. For hitch parts, read the system and rail width off the existing component. Seats usually carry their type on a label under the cushion, and struts and compressors have a reference number on the housing to compare with the product details.
