This Claas Axion 930 page lists more than 50 parts selected for the Axion series, trailer couplings among them, so you see at once what fits.
A Claas Axion 930 spends its working life pulling heavy loads, from large slurry tankers to wide trailed implements. Every one of those loads passes through the hitch, which is why the more than 50 parts on this page all deal with coupling: drawbars, ball hitches, Piton Fix, pick-up hitch, and the plates and adapters that hold everything in place. Scharmüller, Walterscheid and ROCKINGER supply these parts for the Axion 930.
Different trailers call for different couplings. A drawbar with a separate inner part suits trailers with a towing eye, and when the pin or the jaw is worn you only replace the inner part. Heavy trailers with a ball drawbar run on a K80 ball hitch, which you can position with a screw on ball adapter or a support plate. Piton Fix takes a fixed towing ring and secures it with a locking pin. A pick-up hitch with inserts drops with the linkage, so you can hitch up without leaving the seat. Finally, a flange hitch with an automatic jaw bolts straight onto a flange.
An adapter plate lets you move a coupling to a different hole pattern or rail width, which is useful if you switch between systems during the season.
Trailers with a steered axle need forced steering. It transfers the angle between tractor and drawbar to the trailer axle, so the trailer tracks the tractor through corners and the tyres scrub less on headlands. The versions on this page are welded on both ends and come with a lock.
On your own Axion 930, measure the rail width, the pin diameter and the hole pattern of the plate that is fitted now. If a reference number is stamped into the old part, use that as your starting point, and check the type plate if you are unsure which frame the tractor carries. One habit that pays off on a ball hitch is keeping the ball lightly greased and checking it for wear at every major service. A dry ball wears quickly, creaks in corners and eventually leaves play in the coupling.
If you also run another model from the Axion range, it has its own page of matching parts:
The Axion 920 and Axion 940 are part of the same range. For every other tractor from the brand, go to Claas parts.
