Claas Arion 530 parts for the rear hitch

On an Arion 530 the rear coupling changes with the job: one week a tipper on the automatic hitch, the next a heavy trailer on the ball. The more than 80 Claas Arion 530 parts on this page are set up around exactly that.

Which coupling for which job

• Drawbar with K80 ball for heavy trailers and steered axles, plus forced steering parts and ball inserts.

On an automatic hitch the pin has to drop fully home once coupled, and you should be able to see it. If it hangs halfway, clean and grease the mechanism and do not drive off until the lock works properly again. The top drawbar is easy to forget, yet its pin takes load just like the one below, so include it when greasing.

A K80 ball needs grease. Keep the ball and cup lightly greased and check the ball for wear at regular intervals. Once it is visibly out of round or the connection to the trailer has play, replace the ball insert before the cup on the trailer starts to wear too.

Seat and air conditioning

When fitting a new compressor, renew the receiver drier as well and make sure the oil quantity in the system is right, or the new unit will not last. With an air suspended seat, check the seat width and whether there is a power supply for its compressor in the cab.
