On the older Fergusons the cooling system deserves attention. Radiators, water pumps with their gasket, and cooling fans are all here. If you change the water pump, flush the radiator at the same time. Scale and dirt from the old system will otherwise end up in the new pump and wear its seal. Refill with coolant and let the engine warm up with the cap off until the bubbles stop.
For the three-point linkage there are category 2 balls and pins for the top cross. At the back you will find drawbars, and for the driver there are seats like the Compacto as well as complete tractor seats. Rear lights with number plate lighting round things off.
On these tractors the serial plate is usually on the frame or under the seat and confirms you have a 152. If it has become hard to read, use the old part. Water pumps, starter motors and radiators often carry a stamped number that you can match against the product details.
If the starter turns slowly, look at the battery cables and the earth strap to the block first. On tractors this old there is often oxide there that chokes the current. Clean the posts and cable lugs back to bare metal, and only then replace the starter motor if it still needs it. With a vertical silencer it is worth fitting a new clamp and rain cap as well, so no water can run into the engine when the tractor stands outside. A Compacto seat is an easy way to replace a torn seat, but measure the mounting holes of the old one first.
