Massey Ferguson 2620 parts for the seat, engine and lights

Anyone who drives a Massey Ferguson 2620 every day spends hours in the seat, and a good seat then makes more difference than many other parts. So this page starts at the driving position before moving on to the engine, lighting and steering. More than 120 parts on this page fit the 2620.

A better seat in the cab

For the 2620 there are air suspended tractor seats with fabric upholstery, a GRAMMER Maximo Dynamic seat and a PROBOSS seat with seat heater. An air suspended seat needs power for its compressor, so plan the power feed when fitting it. At the door, a gas strut keeps it open while you climb in and out.

Engine and seals

Engine parts include sealing rings, among them one for the drive shaft, an intake manifold gasket, sealing washers and a crankshaft seal. A starter motor and an oil pressure switch are here too.

Oil warning light tip: if the light comes on while the engine sounds healthy, the oil pressure switch is a common culprit. To be sure, first measure the actual oil pressure with a gauge fitted in place of the switch. If the pressure is fine, only the switch needs replacing. If it is low, keep the engine stopped until the cause is found.

Lights, connectors and switches

Lighting covers rear lights with brake, indicator and number plate lamps, plus a headlight insert, some of it from HELLA. Piggyback connectors make it easier to wire in an extra lamp or device neatly, and a push button switch replaces one that has stopped responding. Ball joints round off the steering side.

If the starter turns slowly or you only hear a click, measure the voltage at the battery terminals first and check that the earth strap between engine and frame is clean and tight. On an older tractor, corrosion at those points often robs more cranking power than a worn starter. On the ball joints, check the dust boot. Once it splits, dirt and water reach the joint and it wears out quickly.

The right part for the 2620

The 2620 belongs to the Massey Ferguson 2000 series. The type plate shows the exact model, and when in doubt the number on the old part helps, particularly for Perkins engine parts and for seals, where a small difference is enough to cause a leak. Further parts come from GRANIT, GRAMMER, HELLA and PROBOSS.

If another model from the brand works alongside your 2620, its page is listed under Massey Ferguson parts.
